ACTION ALERT: Tomorrow morning, at 10 a.m., the South Carolina Budget and Control Board will meet to discuss Occupy Columbia. Specifically, they will talk about rules regarding the use of tents and protesting 24 hours a day at the State House.
Details: Room 252 of the Edgar A. Brown Building on Tuesday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. Let’s be there promptly — and in numbers! Meet at the tents at 9:30 a.m.
We should also call the members’ offices (contact info listed below) and tell them that the act of occupying, including the use of tents, is an important piece of the Occupy movement and is protected free speech as symbolic conduct. So long as moneyed interests occupy our government, we will Occupy these State House grounds!
